This successful busy full integrated agency offering a wide range of services, is looking for a creative, dynamic individual to join their web design team. Creating design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content, for a variety of client web sites. You will need a Bachelor’s degree in communications or other discipline related to the primary responsibilities and two to four years of commercial experience in web design. You will be expected to use your creative and visual design skills to create visual concepts that match the content and the image wanted by the clients but that fit within client brand guidelines; ensure that sites are easy to navigate. Designing websites using technologies that conform to international standards, that are universally accessible. Experience working in a communications/public relations environment, particularly in a agency setting, highly desirable. Advanced Mac Platform knowledge of digital imaging and illustration with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator with formal training an asset. Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Macromedia Flash. Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.). This role will ideally suit an experienced web designer, with a strong online portfolio displaying user-centred design, who is capable of designing modern, creative designs and has a passion for building best practise, accessible websites. Working within a growing agency the candidate must have excellent communication skills, be flexible to client needs and have the ability to work with initiative under pressure.
